Seven Peaks a post of its own

We took so many pictures at Seven Peaks that it kind of deserved a post of its own.  We decided to go with the Preslars and use our Pass of All Passes on Saturday morning.  It was nice because the Daddy's could be with us and because it was so hot out, the cold water felt great.

We had fun in the wave pool and Cara loved renting a lifejacket!

And then Mommy made us all go on some slides...that ended up disastrous for Daddy and Cara.  They managed to flip off their tube very early in the slide and Cara wasn't wearing her life jacket yet!  Cara would NOT go on any more big slides.

Daddy and I also had a terrible incident on a slide near the end of our trip.  We flipped off the tube twice and got stuck.  It was awful.  We both got water slide burns on our elbows.  I tried to stay chipper but before long I was claiming to be sunburnt and was hiding like this.

That's when Mommy called it a day.  (We later ended up at the zoo so I did cheer back up!)

And that's how our final week in June ended!  I told you it was a big week.  I haven't even begun to talk about July yet!

Gee another SLC trip...

Yeah, but this one was DIFFERENT.  We got to see our Seattle cousins for an evening! We all got together and celebrated Apa's 74th birthday!

It looks like those big boys are scared of Cara

We had a lot of fun in Aunt Rachel and Uncle Troy's blow up pool.  I think Aunt Rachel actually has a picture of all of us together...I'll have to ask her for it!

We also went to the zoo.  Shocker I know.  But when you consider the 100 degree weather, it is a bit more surprising.

You'll notice a wardrobe change...we went twice.  Once in the morning and then the next day at closing time.  We were trying to meet Aunt Becca and Uncle Phil there.  It didn't work out, but we still had fun!

We are also BRIGHT RED in the face.  It might have been hot!

Siena's Celebration

Guest post by Mommy:

How could I forget to post this?!  The day I took Siena and Cara to find out that we were having another baby, Siena came home and drew a picture "as a celebration" of our new baby.  That's what she said.  She was so happy that she wanted to celebrate.  This is what she drew.

I love it so much.  If anything, this baby will know that her sister celebrated the fact that she was coming.

Pinecreek Swimmin' Hole

One of Mommy's favorite things from last summer was visiting the old swimming hole in Zion.  She called Grandpa up and on Wednesday we headed over.  (I told you we had great week! June went out with a bang and this isn't the last post!)

Man, did we take a lot of pictures.  We are posting maybe HALF! It's a short little hike to get to the pools and we were more thrilled this time to see all of the tadpoles.  Last year they really freaked us out.  This year they only kind of freaked us out.  We still wouldn't touch them.

We swam in the nice cold water and I even got brave enough to JUMP IN.  I started small.  So did Cara.

And then I graduated to the big stuff.

Of course then Mommy tried to make me go off more.  Evidence the video....

We decided to hike up just a little farther and that's where we found my nirvana.

I did this OVER AND OVER.  I loved it.  So much fun!  Mommy and Cara both took a turn!

Totally bummed that we cut of her head! Look at her face!

She recovered and claimed it was AWESOME!
Video evidence of how fun it is!

On the way out we even stopped to taste the salt  coming off of the walls! Yum!

Good times!  Good times!

Our big news

Guest post by Mommy:

We've been keeping a very large social media secret which meant we've been keeping it a secret from our blog.  It's time the story was documented now that our big news is out.

That scrabble board was how we chose to tell the majority of Pete's family.  But let's back up.  Once my Disneyland annual pass expired, Pete and I agreed that it was time to expand our family.  We honestly meant to put a gap in between our second and third children and our Disney passes just happened to coincide perfectly.

We knew we were pregnant right away. The day I missed my period.  But we kept it a secret.  Just the two of us.  I purposely scheduled my first OB appt out at when I would be 12 weeks.  I ended up having to expose us to a few people, namely my two friends who went to Disneyland with me and my sister in law Rachel because we were planning something at the end of October and I wanted her to know that I was fully aware of what I was planning.  I also spilled the beans to Becca because it was fun to make her a co conspirator.  We didn't tell our girls AT ALL.  We referred to "The Colonel" any time we were discussing the growing embryo.

So early in May, I packed the girls up and took them with me to our family doc, Dr. Clark.  I told them he had a secret to tell them.  He tried telling them at the beginning of the appt but they didn't believe him so we went and did an ultra sound.  Siena was SO EXCITED. Cara kept saying out loud and over and over I'm sure to reassure herself "but we're still you're kids, right?"

I then took my ultra sound pictures home and slipped it in to a picture frame at my parents' house and waited for someone to notice.  It used to contain an ultra sound of my brother's twins.  It didn't take long for Hailey (the mom of the twins) to notice the swap and I fessed up after trying to make it seem like it wasn't me.

We sent this little video to Pete's family.

And then we kind of just kept "keeping the secret".  Soon we were close enough to when I could find out what I was having so we kept delaying a wide spread announcement.  If you were around me, you knew though.  My belly was popping out.  Although currently the only belly shot I have is from 12 weeks and when I was in work out gear...

So sexy....
I never lied if someone asked me out right whether I was pregnant, but it was fun making people wonder!  I also kept my ultra sound appointment a secret from my family.  I wanted to find out what I was having and swap out the picture again.  So off Pete and I went with our girls to our secret appointment although we had to take my niece, Lexi, who is 10 months old.  We looked so crazy.  No this is not my 10 month old child.  I would be crying if I was almost half way thru my pregnancy and had a 10 month old....

It was fun to see our little bean get so big and we discovered that we were having our THIRD little princess. Good.  Much simpler.  No need to get new clothes!

I slipped the picture in the infamous frame...

We didn't have to wait long again. A few hours later we were discovered and I went ahead and posted it on Facebook/Instagram.

So here we are.  Half way.  20 weeks.  It's looking like the due date will actually be Pete's birthday, November 18.  That feels a long ways a way.  I already feel huge.  But it's been a good pregnancy.  No true morning sickness.  Small bouts of exhaustion.  Nothing that has altered how we do things though.  We just can't wait to meet her now!  We will start doing more up to date belly pics though.
