Some SLC Halloween Fun!

We just got back from another whirlwind weekend out of town! This time we got to go see our cousins up in SLC (and actually we got to play with Ruby again which was very fun!) We got to practice dressing up for Halloween and attending Chase and Romney's school Halloween Carnival. Mommy actually let me be a princess! Look at me kissing my frog prince!



We also played at a park early in the morning with Ruby and Mommy and Daddy and all the grown ups even started being silly and playing on the equipment! It was REALLY cold each morning. Mommy did not like it! We froze at the zoo the first morning and then again at this park. Oh well, time with friends is worth it, right?







We really loved celebrating Chase's birthday with him and we even had a chance to play in the fall leaves in Oma and Apa's beautiful gully. (We still need to get copies of those awesome pictures from Oma and Uncle Troy!) Mommy for some reason just was NOT on the ball with pictures this trip. You'll have to settle for some photos from last weekend of us being silly on a huge slide. Sorry...the photo quality is a little iffy because we were going SO FAST!

Corn Maze!

We went back to Staheli Farm last night in hopes of catching the pig races and to actually do the corn maze. SO WORTH IT. We love watching the pig races but this time Mommy and Daddy took us in to the big corn maze and I had a great time "Choosing the Right". (Mommy and Daddy DID NOT follow instructions all the time and Mommy distinctly ignored me several times.) Regardless, we found the flag in the heart near the back and managed to come out a different entry than the one we entered in. I would call that success!







We also got to watch the final pig race of the evening. Our pick "Bacon" made it to the championship but he choked at the finish line (literally right at the door he stopped!) and "Little Pig" beat him. Oh well, it was very exciting to cheer for the pigs!

Random House Things

How long do you have to live in a house before you know how the entry way light works? Apparently 18 months. Mom and Dad were told in the home inspection that all the entry light needed was a light bulb because the other was burned out. Well they replaced the light bulb they could see and it still didn't work. However, the light is kind of unique looking and so they got to looking at it the other night. And what did they discover? A little key on the side that turns and what do you know, there are TWO light bulbs. And voila! We have a working entry light now!



And look what Aunt Angie started! She told Mommy that we really needed to spray paint my bedroom furniture and then came over one day and just went at my dresser! (We didn't get a good before shot so it's half way through the process but you can kind of see what it looked like.) Mommy finished it by doing the handles and adding the dark to the mirror.



Yesterday Mommy attacked the trundle bed. She's not as good as Aunt Angie but I think it looks beautiful and I love it so that's all that matters!

A Good Time In Moab...

We just had the best vacation! We went to Moab and got to stay at this awesome cabin with my friend Ruby and her family! Mommy said that Daddy was running a half marathon with Uncle Darren and Uncle Braden and Aunt Stef and apparently it was in this cool place. We stayed with Uncle Darren and Maddie who are my bestest friend Ruby's mom and dad and they brought along her little brother and then Uncle Greg and Aunt Marcela came and stayed too.



We went on a hike and had tons of fun playing in water.





And Daddy did really well in his race. He finished in 1:46:13. Not bad for having had a really tough work week and not getting to run hardly at all. Look at these handsome runners (oh and beautiful one!)



And because this is what Mommy did the night before we left....



This is what we came home to. (Yeah...the gentleman who did this was called in to our bishopric the NEXT DAY. It's gonna be a GREAT five years!)

Testing a Theory

I am slightly neurotic. I know. And lately I have been noticing that my posts are not updating on my friends little blogging thingies. You know, the one that says how long ago some other blog has posted and maybe the title of the most recent post. It's MADDENING. I go through a lot of effort to post every 3 or 4 days and I want my credit! Waa! So I noticed that after I posted this morning's post that it seemed to update to my last post. So maybe for whatever BIZARRE reason I am relegated to one post behind. I don't know if I can handle it.

Big Girl Things

Mommy has managed to capture quite a few milestone moments for me lately on her phone and we MUST share them on the blog of course!

I recently went to the dentist for my second visit ever (Mommy says she promises to take me at least every 6 months now) and I was very excited and didn't need Mommy's help at all. I got to lie down and watch Tangled while that nice lady tickled my teeth. I had no cavities and got a balloon and a book and a new toothbrush and a free kids meal (the no cavity reward!) I LOVE THE DENTIST.



Mommy also recently put the training wheels on my new two wheeler because I was resistant to spending any time on it without them. However in this photo those training wheels are carefully left off the pictures and I look like I rock a two wheeler!



And I am now mastering all the equipment at the playground. I think it has to do with growing an inch or two. I am the playground master now and Mommy worries very little about me. (Now if only the 2 year old were more steady...)

Costume fun on the farm!

We got to do my FAVORITE October/Halloween activity today. Our visit to Staheli Family Farm! Technically there is something called a "corn maze" there, but I never seem interested. I wanted to watch the pigs race! Oh and pick out our pumpkins. And pet the farm animals. And Mommy wanted to take our Halloween costume pictures. Aunt Angie came with us and we had so much fun! (Ahem...a collage of collages is to follow. But seriously...we had so many great pictures from Mommy's Iphone!)

Mermaids and Bits

Look what Mommy and Grandma did for us!!!! We're real mermaids!!!!



And this other collage (Mommy's still a bit obsessed with the collage thing) is mostly of our day in Zion but also includes one incredibly cute sleeping photo of Cara.

Conference Weekend

We have been enjoying our church's semi annual conference this weekend. I got to listen to lots of pretty hymns and a whole big choir of primary kids like me! I also got to listen to the prophet, Pres. Monson speak. I love learning about Jesus and how He loves me.

Of course we also did a lot of playing too! (I've discovered climbing and I thing Grandpa will have a buddy in a couple of years!)
