Daddy is amazing...

Well Daddy did it again! He ran another half marathon. This time it was the St. George Half Marathon and unfortunately the weather was not as nice as his first. It was pretty cold and dreary. It didn't actually rain but the ground was SOAKED. An unusual situation here in Southern Utah. (Almost a week straight of rainy days...unheard of.) Anyway, that didn't stop our Daddy! He was remarkable. He beat his last time with an unofficial time of 1:45 and change. That's according to Daddy's watch. We'll have to check the results later on tonight.

In fact, he did so well that Mommy, Cara and I didn't make it to the finish line in time to watch him come in. We really tried, but Mommy lets time get away from her these days. She promises to be better. Luckily, the beginning of the race ran down by Grandma's house and we were able to cheer him on between miles three and four. (Thus the picture of him running up top.) No pictures crossing that finish line though. Sigh. Regardless, we are super proud of him and think he "KICKS ASPHALT" as another little boy's sign said for his daddy.

A Typical Evening at Home

It really is great that Mommy has many people to help entertain me. The biggest problem of course is that my new favorite toy is the Photo Booth on the Mac!

A Belated post

Mommy and I were looking through Grandma and Grandpa's pictures on their computer when Mommy realized that she never posted about our second Christmas! When we arrived here, we had a party on New Year's Day! I got even MORE presents. This time I actually acted like I cared a little bit. We took a picture of all of us to send to Uncle Marty.

And here I am pretending to sleep on my new Tinker Bell pillow. That was the first thing I did with it. Put it on the floor where it goes and then put it to good use!

I also got a cool magnetic dress up doll.

Mommy and Daddy seemed to like their presents a lot though. They got the Wii Fit Plus and Super Mario Brothers for the Wii. They are ALWAYS in the Xbox room now. We'll have to start calling it the Wii room! (Seriously though...Mommy wants me to say just how much fun both games are and that they are totally worth it.)

And here we attempted to get a picture with Grandpa and his little girls. Cara is at least sort of smiling as opposed to my all out attempts to get away! We actually had a really fun lunch with ALL of Dad's girls. All three daughters and us little girls. He was severely outnumbered but I think he loved it.

Cara is just too cute. She's stealing all my attention. Look at this beautiful babe eat pretzels!



And here she is starting to talk...she says her first word. It really is too. She only says it when she gets upset and only calms down when "Momma" walks in the room.

This post is for Uncle Marty aka Elder McFly....look at what I've done to your room! You wouldn't recognize it. Poor Mommy and Daddy feel like they're on the "Dick Van Dyke Show". All four of us are sleeping in the same room which is great for me because it means I normally just end up in bed with Daddy. You can see my little bed tucked under Mommy's bed. We pull it out each night and I pretend that I'm going to sleep there. As you can imagine, Mommy makes the beds every day otherwise we can't even change a diaper in there! But we love it and are grateful to Grandma and Grandpa. If anything it will help us keep our promise of living with them for only three months this time. (Of course last time it was only supposed to be four months and it turned in to seven or so...oops!)

Cara is 5 months old!

I didn't get to the computer yesterday to post but Cara turned 5 months old. She's still small and young enough that you celebrate the months that have gone by rather than years like me. However, I think we'll devote a little time to me at the end!


Cara had an appointment with doctor on the 17th of December and she has grown as follows:
She is now 23.5 in which puts her in the 12th%...no surprises
She is now 13.8 lbs which puts her in the 39th%...slight surprise there
And her head drum roll....17.1 in which puts her in the 93rd%....SURPRISE. I swear her head doesn't look that big!

She is tiny compared to me! I was already well above the 50th percentile in weight and height when I was her age. She needs some meat on them bones! Check out one of her latest things. I love playing with her now. She's really become a very fun baby. She loves to laugh, can sit up by herself pretty well...she still falls...she definitely works to get things that are out of her reach and loves to chew on breadsticks. We won't talk about sleep because Mommy says she either doesn't want to admit that her baby doesn't sleep at night or doesn't want to brag or break the spell if the baby does!


Now on to me! Mommy wants to make sure she gets some stuff down on "paper" that I'm doing lately. I still continue to amaze Mommy and Daddy. I'm getting really good at actually singing the ABCs..I've known them by sight since I was 18months, but I still can't sing the song! I've gotten a handle on my colors and I'm speaking in lots of full sentences almost over night. I still use my own language at least once a day. The funniest thing that I do is refer to myself as "the witch." At least, they think I'm referring to myself. Maybe it's my imaginary friend. Either way "the witch" gets her turn or is hungry or needs to go to the potty.....Funny stuff.

We have arrived! Oh and Happy New Year!

We did it! We moved in to Grandma's house again. We all kind of wish it was our own house, but we love Grandma and Grandma and Aunt Becca and Uncle Eric for letting us take over again.

Thank you to Apa who practically loaded the whole truck by himself. He basically made it in to a big 3-D puzzle.

Thank you to Grandma, Aunt Becca, Uncle Eric and his friend Sam for unloading the truck so quickly last night. You all rock!

Here's a quick view of what we did on Wednesday when the snow made it impossible to drive down:
Daddy did some work while I helped!

Then Mommy got the idea to go sledding in all the snow. One problem any snow gear Mommy or Daddy had was packed in the truck. Second problem, I really don't have great snow clothes. Mommy figured we could tough it out enough for a few runs out on the hill. Do I look like I'll be warm?!
Mommy went with me.
And then Daddy!
It was fun!!!
