Mommy just loves us girls so much. She loves pictures of us. So here's a photo blog. From what Mommy's heard, Uncle Eric and Aunt Angie prefer photos to a lot of writing anyway. :) Picture books are always our favorite too!
Mommy frosted cookies the other day. BIg mistake for many reasons mostly involving Mommy's waistline and how many cookies she ate all by herself. (It was gross) But one reason involved me:
And here's smiley little Cara. She's so much fun now. She really really wants to laugh at me, but can only do a cough squeal thingy.
Then there are her AWESOME green leggings that Mommy got at Target for $1. It's true. $1.
While we were in St. George Grandpa took us to a park and played with me! Isn't he a good Grandpa? The funny part was when I would always crawl across this metal bridge and then scoot on my butt when it went down. It wasn't overly curved and I just run across the wood wobbly bridges. Ah children.

Mmm, it's good
This is Mommy's favorite thing that I say. I say it with such sincerity. Today I said it while repeatedly dipping my fingers into medium Pace Picante salsa. She could barely get me to eat it off a chip! I love salsa. But that's not what this blog is about. This blog is about apples, and not just any apples. The apples that grew in our backyard. Yup! There's an apple tree. Back when Cara was born, there were just tiny apples on the tree and they were a little bit sour. Not any more. We didn't realize that they were growing and fully ripe until we went down there to play and were met with soft, smooshy apples all over. So we did what any good person would do. We picked off all the apples we could reach and they are DELICIOUS. Nice and crisp and sweet. It's been so delightful and now we have a big bowl of apples.

A bid for sanity
So as Mommy was giving me bath Friday morning, she was losing her mind. She didn't think she could do another day with those box elder bugs and Aunt Margaret was using the basement for cello lessons all afternoon which leaves Mommy and us girls trapped upstairs. She was being vocal about her frustrations and was lamenting the fact that if she had known about the bugs then she just would have gone to St. George to watch Aunt Becca's state play off game.
And then suddenly, Daddy, being the genius that he is, says..so go. Mommy just kind of sat there. Really? She started washing me a lot faster and telling Siena to sit on the potty. After a few minutes of convincing, Mommy flew downstairs at 11:00 am and we were on the road by 11:40. Mommy didn't call anybody in St. George. Grandma and Grandpa had our uncles out at Lake Powell so Mommy knew she couldn't call them anyway. Oh wait, she did call Aunt Angie to tell her she was coming but Aunt Angie had to work most of the weekend. This was our first trip with just Mommy and at first things went smoothly. We stopped at Fillmore for a pit stop and then back on the round. That's where things got a little rocky. We made three additional stops. 5 minutes after leaving Fillmore, Siena had dropped her binki where a driving Mommy couldn't get it. Quick stop at the Cove Fort exit. Then just oustide Parowan, I started in with the crying. Quick pit stop for a snack for me. However, I wouldn't really focus and just wanted to play. Back in to the car seat I went which upset me a great deal and Mommy had to stop in Cedar City to try and get me to take a binki. After that stop, Mommy just decided to let us scream if it came to it. We were less than an hour away. Luckily, I decided to be nice and so did Siena.
We walked in to a house full of soccer girls waiting to go to a team night. We could hear Aunt Becca coming up the stairs and so we waited a the top. SO WORTH IT. Aunt Becca screamed and jumped up and down. We told her not to tell Grandma and Grandpa when they called. They finally came home at 9:00pm that night and boy were they surprised. Our car gave us away so there were no real surprised faces but they were still excited.
We're so glad we came down! Aunt Becca played her final soccer game for DHHS. It was a hard fought battle against Judge Memorial and they lost 1-0. So heart breaking, but at least we were there to cheer her on! We love you, Aunt Becca!

Die, Box Elder Bug, Die
Hell has frozen over. Mommy uttered the words..."we need a good freeze" today. AND she meant it! Why? What has brought the end of the world to the Romney household? Three words...BOX ELDER BUGS. These bugs found Mommy and Siena playing a new game. Die, Bug, Die. There is a spotter and a swatter. The spotter yells out "there's one!" (totally unnecessary as there are SWARMS) and the swatter smacks at the bug at least three times with all their might. This is repeated at least a thousand times before you switch. (In the background, Siena is still playing this game.)
How did Mommy miss this part of living in Salt Lake?! And by miss, we don't mean "pine for", we mean how did she NOT KNOW?! She doesn't remember the Box Elder Plague. It should be listed in the Bible. Sure they don't bite or feed off of food in your house, but why do they want in to the house? How are they able to get in every conceivable crack? Today the back of the house was MOVING. There were thousands of box elder bugs on our back windows and doors. Cello students need a tennis racket to get into the solarium. And when the sliding screen door to the solarium was left open a crack, Mommy did a crazy dance to go shut it. They don't bite, but they sure love to charge a moving object.
Oh and they apparently are big fans of Halloween. Huh? You might find yourself thinking. You're not familiar with the dreaded "Box Elder Zombie"? This is no myth, it's a true story. A scary story. The stuff of Mommy's nightmares. All box elder bugs have a mutated gene that cause them to become zombies once killed. They must be killed three times and then flushed down a toilet or vacuumed up to actually cease any function. BEWARE. I say again...BEWARE. Oh and did we mention the nice beautiful, warm sunny weekend Mommy WAS excited for? SOB. They even turn our most prized moments into a four letter word.

Pictures of ME!
Cara here. Yes it's true, Mommy did a photo shoot of just ME. Here are some of her favorites. Aunt Angie gave her the idea. Aren't I precious?!
And the funniest one of all.......
Okay, I will allow some mention of Siena. This is the fun game Mommy let us play. Isn't she such a good Mommy?

Little Tid Bits from Life
So no really big news to report...just little tid bits. Siena and I continue to run Mommy and Daddy to exhaustion. Here's some delightful pictures of big sister....none of me. I will be having words with Mommy.
Here she is at, oh what do you know, the zoo. She was looking adorably grown up that day with cute jeans and a hoodie, but that's all kind of lost because of the dang binki.
And here is a picture of the new baby elephant, Zuri. I'm sure you've seen other photos, but this one is I'm afraid slightly PG-13. However, how many of you can honestly say you that you have thought about how a baby elephant nurses?! Mommy elephants are just like my Mommy. This was also posted as a shout out to my cousins and their mommies. I've got milk on the mind.
Now in this video, if you listen closely you'll hear Mommy being a not nice Mommy. Siena was begging to see the "Snorts" (Rhinos) and Mommy was just so dang focused on getting this video that it had to go on the blog.
And finally, this is what Mommy and I found after leaving Siena alone downstairs for a few minutes.
Oops, just one final picture of NOT me. Mommy has promised me some photo time. I smile big and wide, I try to laugh (only accomplishing it in my dead of sleep), I talk, I coo, I'm even starting to sit up on my own, but NO I don't seem to warrant a little camera time! Sorry, I divulged. This picture is of Super Hero Siena in her tutu. Mommy and she ran around at Grandma's house like super heroes and it seems to have kind of stuck with her.

Region Champs!
Aunt Becca played her final home soccer game of the season. It's not really the final home game because thanks to their win, they have a home field advantage for the first round of state games. We were really excited to be here for Senior Night and to cheer for our Aunt! They beat Canyon View 1-0 to clinch the 3A Region 9 Title. They still have two more away games before state play begins.
Now you can't see it in the photos but I'm wearing my Thunder sweatshirt that was bought for me LAST season and it is still a little big.
