More Hiking

What a surprise that with the nice weather and Grandpa not working, we would all go hiking on Sunday afternoon! It was very pretty out.We went on a little hike just outside of the Snow Canyon State Park. Grandpa found a little rock wall that he built with Uncle Marty probably 6 years ago and only a few rocks had fallen. We didn't get any pictures of it, but we're hoping it's still there in another 6 years.




Daddy also went backpacking with Grandpa, Uncle Marty, and mom's cousin Ty. They went to Short Creek which is up behind the polygamist town of Hildale. You'll have to ask Daddy about that town. But it did feel good to sleep in a sleeping bag in a tent again. It's been awhile for my daddy!

Jumpin' Jacks

On Saturday, my uncle Eric was bored out of his mind. He and his two buddies wanted to go to Jumpin' Jacks. It's this place where they have the bounce house toys set up semi-permanently and you pay to get in daily, etc. Grandma wanted company so they thought I might like this place. So we pay for mommy and me to play. We walk in to the huge warehouse like room and I basically flipped out. I was terrified of EVERYTHING. The lights were dimmed and some disco balls were spinning which probably made it scarier, but I DID NOT want to be put down under any circumstances. The little kids bounce area was definitely too scary. So mommy thought we had just wasted a bunch of money, until I found the little 50 cent rides that are normally outside a K-Mart.



Again there is super cute video of my fun on this ride, but something about mommy makes the computer not upload these videos.

Then Grandma suggested Mommy go try the big slide since we paid for her anyway. I watched Mommy go down that slide and something clicked in my head. It might have helped a little that the lights came back on, but I wanted to go down this slide with Mommy. Keep in mind, this slide is two stories high. My pregnant Mommy hauled my 22 pound dead weight up a fairly steep "air ladder." I LOVED IT. I wanted to try everything. Of course, I wanted to be where all the BIG kids were having fun and running around kamikaze style, but Mommy eventually got me warmed up to the idea of the little kid area.

Hiking with Grandpa

A few weeks ago, Grandpa took Dad, Uncle Eric, and me hiking on a Sunday afternoon. This is how Grandpa prefers to spend his Sunday afternoons especially if he doesn't work. I like hiking...most of the time. I tend to get a little cranky that I can't just wander off.

100 POSTS!

We've reached our 100th blog post! Yeah! Today's post is about sharing a picture of my favorite thing.

Chocolate.

I managed to find my Grandma's Valentine's Day chocolate. I quietly (so my mommy didn't notice even though she was in the SAME room) knocked the heart box (which is metal) off the nightstand. This dislodge all of the candies inside. I then QUICKLY stuffed the biggest piece I could find in my mouth. Luckily the mess was confined to me because Grandma's carpet is a lovely cream color.



Of course, Grandma is the one who has groomed and possibly genetically passed on this love for chocolate so she should not be surprised.

My other favorite thing is shoes. No. I'm not a girl or anything. I managed to pick out a pair of shoes from my big bag of shoes this morning that perfectly matched my Sunday dress. Could be chance, but still.

Then again, my next favorite thing is probably being outside and playing "baball". So maybe I won't be TOO girly.

Spring taunts us once again!

Well spring is in the air again! It's just taunting us though. We know it's not here for good and Mommy continues to just hope and wish upon a star that it will stay!

I got to go have fun at the park in the mean time.





Mommy and I don't consider ourselves funny bloggers, and I have not yet begun to be able to compete with my cousin Smith in hijinks worth writing about. So we hope you continue to enjoy our many "photo blogs".

In these photos, you can see that I'm still developing my motor skills and I manage to make it down a slide by myself. I still need a little work though before mommy stops having to run around the playground equipment trying to prevent injury.

WE WANT SPRING!

The first few days of February brought us a delicious taste of spring and I just soaked it up. We went to the park 4 days in a row and it was almost 70 degrees! Mommy just sat and soaked in the sun. I really miss those days. It's been cold and kind of rainy and Mommy is very unwilling to spend time at a park with me now. Here's how I spent Super Bowl Sunday, that delightful first day of February.

There are a couple of cute videos of me jumping on the trampoline, but the internet and every browser on the computer does NOT like Mommy and seems to refuse to download them. Sigh.

NEWS!

So Mommy and I added a little something to the top of our blog. Did you see it?! I finally decided that after 2 ultrasounds I get to share our good news. Mommy can't keep it a secret any longer.

I'M GETTING A SIBLING!
Mommy is due during the first part of August which means it will be a LONG summer. But we're excited!

These ultra sounds were done a little more than 2 weeks apart. The first one is more of a lump and the second one looks like an alien. Mom assures me that she's NOT having an alien.
