Easter

We decided to spend Easter with the Preslars and Oma and Apa.  It was such a wonderful weekend.  Salt Lake City even cooperated and gave us some very nice weather.

We had a slightly early Easter morning and Cara came home from church and fell asleep during her turn on the beloved Preslar iPad!

And then it was off to Oma and Apa's house for a fabulous Easter Egg hunt with many wonderful eggs hidden by the lovely Mary and Hannah.

The Loot!

We very much enjoyed our time up north.  There was much cousin love shared.  I think that we played with our cousins non stop from the time our eyes opened until they were forced shut.

Kindergarten Registration!!

Yes, it's true!  I got registered for kindergarten.  It was pretty anti climatic for me.  I was hoping to actually go TO kindergarten but I have to wait until August.  Still I'm pretty excited.

However, Cara wasn't so happy.  She was pretty distraught at the fact that she wasn't going to kindergarten.

Vanity Plates....

My parents did it.  They got what they call a "vanity plate".  And they love it! And I love it! But then Daddy will get randomly self conscious.  I mean, don't we all question what a vanity plate means to the people who have them?  Not everyone knows that the NAME of our car is "Mozzy".  Get it?  He looks like a wedge of mozzarella!  Ah regardless we are most proud of the big "U" in a world filled with "Y"s.  

And on an unrelated note, we just had to show off a picture of Colt with his eyes open.  Carter proves much more difficult to get wide eyed and alert.  They both are just so tiny still!  Not quite 5 lbs!!!

And an addendum to our last post.  Cara and I have become obsessed with killing a chicken.  One day while driving to preschool I asked Mommy how a real chicken became a food chicken and she told me.  They cut off the chicken's head and remove all the feathers and most of the time the skin and now Cara and I spend our drives dividing up the chores.  We all take turns getting to cut off the chicken's head and then get all the feathers off.  Mommy says "Ewwww" a lot.

Overheard at our house lately:

Cara: Siena! Siena, pretend you killed me and I DIED.

Siena: Oh no! You split me in half!

Cara: Help me! Help me! No not you Mom.  I'm pretending to die.

Siena: I am going to kill you!

I swear all of the above sentences were said during SEPARATE play sessions.  We might have to cut back on the PG movies....okay PG-13....

And on a separate note, we actually "celebrated" St. Patrick's Day at our house.  Well kind of.  Springdale, the quaint little town at the entrance of Zion National Park, throws a festival!  They have a parade and green jello eating contents and green jello sculpting contests and honestly the whole town participated.  Thanks to Aunt Angie who tipped us off and went with us.  We had so much fun!

Siena attempted the climbing wall and was pretty disappointed in herself when she didn't reach the bell at the top, but she promised to practice climbing with Grandpa.

Spring Breakin....

This is our first real Spring Break as school kids.  Well preschool kids.  And Mommy has been enjoying not being the shuttle in the morning.  We've been taking it easy.  Chillin', playing by pool, watching movies in the middle of the day, sleeping in.  It's been great.  Mommy even took us for a hike!  Grandpa would be so proud.  Except for our outfits.  They weren't great hiking outfits.  We came away with scraped knees!

What a week!!

Honestly.  It's been a HUGE week for our family starting off with the birth of those adorable twin boys!  And then just three days later, we celebrated Aunt Becca and Uncle Phil's wedding with a party that lasted all day.

We got to be flower girls!  And Mommy is kicking herself for not getting one picture of us.  She just kind of left it up to the photographer and was more focused on Becca I suppose!  Oh well.  Pictures will come eventually.  We did great and even giggled demurely as we walked down an aisle for Aunt Becca's ring ceremony.  Mommy cried and so did Grandma and actually all the ladies.  Boy did we dance ALL night long.  We just kept dancing and dancing with Aunt Becca.  I think my favorite part was the conga line that Aunt Becca led.

A wedding meant we got to see all our Double Grandparents and Grandpa Greats and aunts and uncles and got squished a lot.  We were mostly bummed because we kept having to sit in the waiting room while people went and saw the boys in the hospital.

Now it's Spring Break and the best thing happened! The boys, Colt and Carter, got to go home!!!  We even got to meet them and I held Carter!! I was so excited.

Then we went over to Grandma's and went swimming because the weather was SO NICE AND HOT.  They boys even came and laid out with us.  Well "laid out" for brand new babies that is.

And then Mommy and Aunt Angie couldn't resist.  The sun is good for their slight jaundice anyway!

Good thing there are two of them.  It's easier to share the love and pass them around the family.  We all get so excited.

The Nephews!

My sweet uncle and his little wife had their twins on Wednesday!! They were pretty tiny weighing in under 5 lbs and have spent the first few days of their lives in the NICU with Aunt Angie, but they have done nothing but get stronger!!

Colten and Carter are their names and I don't have a clue who is who! I haven't had the privilege of seeing them yet, but Mommy has and she brings me pictures!  Enjoy!
