Cara's "Graduation"

Cara got to have a preschool "graduation" too!  Her class is the 3-4 year olds who will all be doing at least one more year of preschool so really it was more of a program instead of a graduation!

Her class was so funny! There are 9 boys and only 2 girls which led to a lot of just Miss Traci singing.  Cara and the other girl Keyona did their best to sing, but have you heard Cara talk?  She has a pretty tiny voice anyway!

If you've been following our computer issues, it will not surprise you to learn that Mommy's iPhone also thinks it's pretty funny.  Her camera kept crashing after trying to take videos.  Thus we only have 37 seconds worth of video of Cara's program and a million blurry pictures.  Cara was adorable and even did great signing the end song.  Mommy will have to try and get her to do it by herself!  And oh well!  Cara will have another preschool graduation program, right? Hopefully!

Daddy did ANOTHER race?!

Seriously.  He really did.  Two weeks after the 70.3, he figured he was in shape and why not?  He signed up last minute to complete the St. George Tri.  And he'll do the same course in September in the Kokopelli.  He's pretty silly.  We got there just in time to see him head out on his run (just a little 10k...nothing like the half marathon from two weeks ago!)

And gave him big hugs when he was done.  Yea Daddy!!

Preschool Graduation Take 1

I'm so lucky!  I got to do TWO preschool graduations.  Miss Kristin and the I Think I Can Academy were my first preschool that I started back in September.  I have loved having seven other girls to play with three days a week and we put on a killer show.  Here are some examples!

We did a Disney Medley.  I think I make a great back up dancer and comedian.  My solo is the last song...it's more of a stand up routine!

Gymnastics Show Off!

Last Saturday we had another big day!  Okay...maybe nobody went 70.3 miles under their own power, but I did show off what I've learned in gymnastics.  This time I got to "compete" on all four apparatus.  It was GREAT!  Wow...we just realized the pictures are really blurry because I never stopped moving!

But here's a video that is hopefully better quality!

Mother's Day

We still have not figured out why our computer is "sick".  I'm very frustrated.  In fact, I thought I had an epiphany about it tonight but I'm realizing it might be more complicated than that and I'm freaking out and I really don't want to think about it anymore....a new Mac can run us $3000 if we get the one we want!!!!

Alright back to what the post is about.  One of the best parts of having two girls in preschool is that it turns into Mother's Week not just Mother's Day.  I was able to attend TWO Mother's Day tea party.  It was quite adorable.  

Miss Traci does a wonderful job.  She taught them how to drink tea with your pinky out and how to fancy clap.  It was very delightful.  They also recited poetry and sang for us.  Miss Traci even asked each child about their Mom.  

My favorite thing from Cara was that she said I was so smart that I knew that she squeezed a cow under his belly and it squirted.  Not even sure where that came from!

Siena said I was so smart that I know how to drop her off at everything (preschool/gymnastics) even though sometimes I go the wrong way.  I swear that happened only once or twice and it was because I was on auto pilot!

The girls made me an omelet to eat in bed on Sunday morning and then also presented me with a gift certificate for a massage and facial.  They hit it out of the park! (So did their daddy!)

Pictures and Computers

Our faithful Mac has been in our family for five years.  That's really not a long time.  Well maybe it is in computer speak.  However...I think our Mac is trying to tell me something.  It's tired.  In fact, it's so tired that it's hiding my iPhoto photos from me.  Well not all of them.  I can still access January and February from 2012.  I'm thinking that it's a bad sign.  And ironically, I woke up thinking that I needed to back up all my photos today.  Back them up and get them off the computer.  Which is why I even opened iPhoto this morning.  

I know they are on this computer somewhere.  I know that because I still have like NO MEMORY available.  But I really don't want to play this game.  I have access to most of them in different ways, but I just want to open up iPhoto and see them!  Gaaaa!

Sorry for the lack of blogging and really this was supposed to be a better blog about more fun things, but now I'm just frustrated and I think I will go vacuum.  

St. George Ironman 70.3

Done and done!  Our Daddy completed the first St. George Half Ironman.  He swam 1.2 miles, biked a fabulous 56 miles, and then RAN 13.1 miles...in ONE day. And he did it in 6 hours and 23 minutes.  Not bad.  Not bad at all.  We were so proud!

Really the best places for us to watch for him were when he came off his bike and started his run and then when he finished.

I made this sign all by myself!  I sat down and did all of the spelling!

He did the swim and bike faster than he thought he would and we were so proud!  He started his run just as it was getting really hot though.  (Luckily he listened to Mommy and was very good about sunscreen well except his head...)  But he finished with STYLE!  He was smiling and high fiving!

And then we played in the splash pad to help Daddy cool off.

Of course then his body started to realize what it had just done...

You can see that Oma and Apa came down to support Daddy!

We spent the rest of the afternoon letting Daddy soak in Grandma and Grandpa's spa.  We kept it cool to start with and then fired up the jets to help relax him.
