More happenings...mostly pool related...

As September has come into full swing, Mom can be found working out hard at the gym and then taking naps with Iva! She loves both. 

We played as MUCH as we absolutely could in the city pool for its final week.

Here was our final day at the pool. Labor Day...it was busier than most of the Labor Days we have come so it was a little disappointing, but we still played hard.

I finally lost my third tooth! It's been a whole year and it was a surprise tooth! We thought my top teeth would come out first!

Happenings

So we rounded out August with the bestest of ways! Lexi turned three and got a mermaid tail for herself which means Aunt Angie gave me my birthday present a month early!!! I got a mermaid tail too!

Aren't we the cutest mermaids? I got to use it for a whole week before city pool closed!

Mommy also started making cinnamon rolls on Sundays. YUM! 1 pm church has major benefits!!

And Mom snapped this adorable photo of us all praying together. The flash gave her away and she was caught with her eyes open, but Iva loves to imitate her people.

When You Wish...

To start off Lexi's birthday celebration, we all went to When You Wish together last Thursday! It's a new Disney musical that was being put on at Tuachan. Mom treated us to some Chili's while we waited for Dad's cello students to be done. We love Chili's. Love it. Chips and salsa YES PLEASE. 

She also indulged us with a dessert. The Chocolate Molten cake. Or the blessed Volcano. Heaven.

We adored the show. It was basically about a little girl who dreams about Disney characters singing some of the best songs from their own shows. So fun. You wanted to just sing a long the whole time. We are so glad Aunt Angie invited us!

Siena learns to dive

I've been busy. I'm learning how to dive and wrecking on my scooter.

One fine Saturday we went to...drum roll...City Pool! (I know surprise.) First Cara and I actually participated in a soccer clinic and got HOT so we were pretty excited to go swim. We got there right as it opened but in this slow season that also means the hydrotube doesn't open for a few more hours. Daddy played with us and Lexi in the pool and then we got to business teaching me how to dive!

I figured it out pretty quick and I loved doing it!

Going off the diving board though proved more difficult!

But one of the other really fun things was watching Iva! That girl loves the pool.

A few days later, I learned a lesson in wearing my helmet. I always wear my helmet when I scooter and I'm so glad that I do. I went down hard on my shoulder and arm. Mom is pretty sure my helmet must have smacked the ground too because I have a mark on my face. Mom didn't notice my shoulder  because it was covered by my shirt until I wouldn't move my arm.

Here it is the next day...pretty bruised but usable. Yay for helmets!

But it's still hot...

Essentially summer is "over" because we are back to the daily grind of school, but man is it still summer weather. Even my mom, who LOVES summer, has been heard to say that she is sick of being hot. Must be the belly. It's still 100 degrees every day. Nights are starting to get better, but only just. It's hard to focus at school!

This leads us to be very lazy and silly at home. We just love this picture of Iva.

In this one, she ran and got out the red mat and proceeded to try and stretch and do yoga with Dad.

We hit up splash pads early...like before 10...in an attempt to cool down. Good grief. It's the end of August.

And city pool is still our favorite thing to do on Tuesdays...and Thursdays...and Saturdays!

Oh and Cara and Iva get to hang out and eat chips and salsa. I'm sure they miss me for those other 3 and a half hours.

Washington County Fair

Otherwise known as a very expensive two hours that were so worth it! At the last minute, Mom and Dad decided to make a run out to our county fair. They had been told that you could watch an elephant show and then RIDE ON AN ELEPHANT. The weather was kind of iffy with large thunderstorms circling, but they opted to throw us in the car and head to the very first show at 5 pm.

We are so glad they did. I got to FEED an elephant a banana.

It actually started to sprinkle on us when we were riding the elephant. It was a nice break from the heat. We got to rub her head and feel her ears on our feet. Thanks to Aunt Angie for hanging out with Iva so Mom could ride with us.

We also watched a cool reptile show and it was so fun. Mom and Dad even wore a snake.

We also went and pet some farm animals which we managed to not get photos of but that's okay. At that point, we ran for it. The wind picked up and you could see lightening. It was so fun though and I hope next time we actually get to ride the rides that I heard about. Mom and Dad managed to hide them from us this time.

Follow Up to the First Day

Turns out, we get REALLY busy when school starts. It's hard to sit down and remember to blog and journal and clear out Mom's phone of her pictures!

This is what Iva and Mom did while we were at school. Sit on the couch and snuggle. Iva loves to kiss her belly and hug it. Mom kept trying to get a good picture of it.

Here is Cara all smiles after school to prove that it was all okay and she really did want to stay at kindergarten.

We celebrated the last day of school by going to the pool and so we celebrated or mourned the first day of school by doing the same thing. It's funny because both days it was cloudy and almost chilly without the sun!
