Staheli Farm

Somewhere in the middle of the month or the beginning or whenever in October (ha!), the NICU does a reunion at Staheli Farm. Now nobody in our little family has had to do the NICU (not even that sneaky early baby Sam!), but Aunt Angie works there and the twins got to stay for a week and somehow those two families always need help and so we go! Once again, Mom works on Saturdays so it was up to Dad to get us there with Aunt Angie. I think Dad even had something else going on that morning, but he managed to get us there!

We were a little obsessed with getting a photo on this!

That was Sam's first trip ever to Staheli Farm, but he spent the majority of the time in his stroller so it wasn't too exciting.

However, the next weekend we got to go BACK with Mom in our Halloween costumes! It's turned in to a bit of a tradition. You can tell we went with Mom. Dad took five photos. Mom took FIFTY. I don't think that's an exaggeration either!

Sam was being a bit cranky and was not super cooperative for photos. Imagine that. He's one.

Iva had to have a picture with the pink pumpkin!

He got out of the stroller this time! He loved the balls.

JUMPING LIKE CRAZY PEOPLE!

Despite what this looks like, he LOVED the corn. He would just dig his hands through it.

We picked out four perfect little pumpkins.

OH MY GOSH! How could I forget?! We also got to try out a DIFFERENT farm! We had never been to this one, but it was awesome. Sleepy Hollow at Western Legacy Farm was so cool. They had a headless horseman who kind of freaked us out, but other than that we had a blast!

Iva rode the horse all by herself. She was very brave!

Mom and Dad had to race. Mom won!!

It was kind of a late and dusty night, but we had so much fun!

Another triathlon in the books!

I told Mom after we finished the Summit Tri together that she HAD to sign me up for the next triathlon whenever it was. HA! I had no idea there was one just three weeks later! It was the first tri I ever did! The Trick or Tri at the Sand Hollow Aquatic Center.

I was all set to go! It was kind of a crazy morning because Mom always works on Saturdays at Red Mountain so Dad had to get me all set up with the three kids in tow. Mom also didn't think she would make it in time for Dad to be able to help me in transition which made me pretty nervous. Luckily, Grandma and Grandpa showed up to watch the first part of the race and they stayed with the littles!

Mom showed up just in time to see me start the bike race which was really awesome because as I mounted my bike, my timing chip caught in my chain and I couldn't go anywhere! I couldn't pedal or even pull me leg off the bike! Some nice guy helped my mom free me and then off I went!

I tend to be a slow biker which proved true on this race, but Mom almost missed me finishing because I ran SO fast! I kicked it in to my top gear and was quite hot by the time I finished. I passed a bunch of people on my run.

 

As always, I love finishing a race. I smile the whole time (which Mom saw me NOT smiling and huffing and puffing as I worked to get out of transition but as soon as I saw that camera...BOOM. Smiling!)

October pictures

At a certain point, it just feels like you have to throw up a random bunch of pictures on the blog so that we ever have a PRAYER of actually catching up!

This picture was of Iva as we went through a car wash. She was terrified and it made mom laugh! Sam was crying also. 

We managed to make it out on Grandpa's boat a couple of times in October which was amazing since we hardly did that during the summer.

Sam was NOT a fan because of that lifejacket!

Sam loves this bucket that we keep our extra plastic bags in. He kept looking like he was practicing going trick or treating!

This awesome trip to the grocery store included this antic from Sam and Iva doing downward dog on the sides of the shopping cart. Mom couldn't look away for even 20 seconds!

One of our most exciting things in October was the addition of a cousin to our family! Hailey and Marty FINALLY had their baby boy, Logan! He was a big baby at 9 lbs but he's so squishy and newborny. It's great. We haven't been able to see him very much because of, well, life!

Who doesn't love a tub full of kids? My mom. Because it got stressful really quick!

Sam got his very own ice cream cone from the nice lady at Chik Fil A. He took four licks and didn't want it. So really, Mom got a free cone!

Hanging on to that summer feeling!!!!

These two constantly hang with mom. They like the beep beep car store!
