School...it begins!

Okay so we realize that the date on this post puts us almost a full 7 weeks behind on blogging. Mom has been very frustrated with our computer. It is on its third hard drive (we have lost our photos TWICE...slow learner) and our iMac that was purchased in 2008 (refurbished!) is just limping along. It is slow and painful and she just hasn't wanted to upload all 270 photos from her phone onto the computer. We want to buy a new computer, but number one they are quite expensive and number two...it's September. And new iMac's typically come out in October. There was one released in 2015 and the rumors are rampant that there is a new edition coming out this October. So we have to be patient and the blog entries are just stacking up. So mom finally caved and here we are. Finally blogging about going back to school!

The day before, Grandma snuck us off for some back to school shopping. Mom and Sam were a bit bored.

We then (of course!) had to squeeze in more time at the pool.

We had Dad give us priesthood blessings the night before and Iva was cute and sincerely wanted her turn. She was very specific about telling us that she got to sit on the chair and get her blessing. She also REALLY wanted a picture of it.

Thursday, August 11 came and even though it seems crazy early to start school, we had been out since before Memorial Day! We were ready! Cute clothes (thanks, Grandma!) check! Backpacks, check! Lunch bags, check! A million photos with our chalk writing, check!

I mean, seriously? How do you pick just one of those photos to post. You don't. You make everyone scroll through them all. We, of course, loved school. Cara has my first grade teacher, Mrs. Seegmiller and we just love her. I got a brand new teacher, Mrs. Terry and I was beside myself with excitement. All the teachers had visited their students on Tuesday to introduce themselves and I was practically shaking when I met her.

Mom, once again, had us celebrate at city pool. She just has to squeeze every ounce of swimming out of that place. Iva is such a good swimmer and loves to use her goggles and refuses to wear her puddle jumper now. Cara has gotten quite good at handstands and likes the hydro tube, but has been preferring to just paddle around and play her pretend games non stop.

Right as school started, Sam also got the hang of standing on his own and started working on those first steps!
