Mickey's Halloween Party!

Mom figured out a way for us to have a bonus trip to Disneyland this year. Back in June, she realized that the cheapest one day ticket at Disney was for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party! It's a five hour event that they let you in three hours early for! That means it's eight hours in Disneyland. Plenty of time and worth the less than $70 ticket since a one day pass is up to $100. Plus, she has Disney rewards with her credit card and she was able to get the tickets for free essentially. She picked a Monday night party hoping that the crowds would not be too excessive at 3 pm when they let us in.

This meant though that we had to fill our morning hours at the hotel while Daddy got some work in. We took time to really explore our hotel. It was fun! It had a story written around the walls about a kind and brave princess named Corrine. It made us feel like we were in a castle. We also find this awesome koi pond with this gorgeous GOLD koi in it.

We eventually made it to the pool. It was a warm day, but the water was pretty chilly! You definitely had to keep moving when you were in it.

Mom made sure we all got in a nap or at least quiet time before the party since it would be a late night. We had walked to downtown Disney that morning and purchased our souvenirs. Iva is squeezing her new Ariel baby in this picture.

Finally 3pm came and we were allowed in the park. It was pretty busy, but our biggest problem was that it was HOT. We couldn't bear to put on our full costumes yet. Our first ride was Pirates of the Caribbean. Iva actually really enjoyed it!

We made sure to hit up Big Thunder Ranch because it will close before we make it back to Disney to make way for the new Star Wars Land!

They even had sheep out this time! We will miss this little rest stop.

Iva loved the carousel. I think we ended up riding three times.

Haunted Mansion is always a favorite ride during Halloween and Christmas. We love Jack Skellington. We were bummed to only get on once.

At 6 pm when the party officially started and you got booted from the park if you didn't have a wrist band, we got into our costumes in their entirety. We had fun with Iva.

Mom is supposed to be Anger...she didn't fully commit to red hair.

Daddy's Fear costume was probably the warmest and since it didn't cool down under 85 probably the whole time we were there....he was sweating!

Iva also enjoyed riding Dumbo.

See? Back on the carousel! We did learn something new though! This horse that I'm on is behind Walt's favorite horse which has bells on it. This one was his wife's favorite horse and it's the only one with a gold tooth!

Saying good bye! Eight hours actually isn't enough time for our family...unless we are hot and there are no fast passes and your mom is eight months pregnant! We did last until it closed and we weren't allowed to go on another ride, but man we were glad to hit our beds.

The next morning we took the time to say good bye to our koi friends and then drive Dad to the LA airport. He had to fly to San Jose for a business meeting which left us to drive with just our Mom! Agh! It actually went really well. If you didn't notice in our picture in our last post of us in the car, we actually took Mozzy instead of Baymax so that we could save on gas and Mom could easily reach us.

It was so worth missing school before everyone else went on UEA and went to California for the next weekend!
