Cousin Love

So we were really bummed this year to learn that our fall break didn't match up with the Preslars fall break in SLC! We had planned to spend the whole thing together here in St. George, but instead they fell on consecutive weekends.

Mom convinced the Preslars to come down anyway despite their many obligations up north and our many obligations south. She even let Cara and I skip school on Friday!

One of the first obligations that we had to take care of was playing at the new park in St. George. It's an All Abilities park and includes a train and a volcano and a splash pad!

The train that runs through the park was randomly closed while we were there, but that was okay. We still had quite a bit of fun!

Later that night, Aunt Rachel went to Witches Night Out with my mom. They did a scavenger hunt of sorts and just hung out. Mom won some chocolate which she gladly shared.

Friday we somehow didn't take any pictures except for this one where Sam was imitating Dad who worked from home for a few hours.

As cousins, we played at one of our new favorite parks and then went up and swam at the Washington City Rec Center. It was so much fun and we must have been living in the moment! No photos!

That night, Mom and Dad packed up our van and we decided to head to California. Cara and I had been working hard on obeying and helping make our home happy and we had earned a little trip. So it was unfortunate that the timing of the Preslars trips came at the same time, but we stayed until 8:30 at night before loading up so we had plenty of time together. In fact, we had a group cello lesson and an Activity Day activity all on Friday!

We love when they come to visit.

Staheli Farm

Somewhere in the middle of the month or the beginning or whenever in October (ha!), the NICU does a reunion at Staheli Farm. Now nobody in our little family has had to do the NICU (not even that sneaky early baby Sam!), but Aunt Angie works there and the twins got to stay for a week and somehow those two families always need help and so we go! Once again, Mom works on Saturdays so it was up to Dad to get us there with Aunt Angie. I think Dad even had something else going on that morning, but he managed to get us there!

This is the helicopter Aunt Angie gets to use for LifeFlight!

We were a little obsessed with getting a photo on this!

That was Sam's first trip ever to Staheli Farm, but he spent the majority of the time in his stroller so it wasn't too exciting.

However, the next weekend we got to go BACK with Mom in our Halloween costumes! It's turned in to a bit of a tradition. You can tell we went with Mom. Dad took five photos. Mom took FIFTY. I don't think that's an exaggeration either!

Sam was being a bit cranky and was not super cooperative for photos. Imagine that. He's one.

Iva had to have a picture with the pink pumpkin!

He got out of the stroller this time! He loved the balls.

JUMPING LIKE CRAZY PEOPLE!

Despite what this looks like, he LOVED the corn. He would just dig his hands through it.

We picked out four perfect little pumpkins.

Playing on the farm, getting filthy!

OH MY GOSH! How could I forget?! We also got to try out a DIFFERENT farm! We had never been to this one, but it was awesome. Sleepy Hollow at Western Legacy Farm was so cool. They had a headless horseman who kind of freaked us out, but other than that we had a blast!

Sam loved to pet the animals!

This horse was obsessed with the stroller and actually tried to eat it!

Iva rode the horse all by herself. She was very brave!

Mom and Dad had to race. Mom won!!

It was kind of a late and dusty night, but we had so much fun!
