Summit's Party

Every year my work does a Christmas party at the end of January. It's most often way too long, but the owner of the gym is pretty generous and I always come away with extra cash which is nice!

This year because I was so heavily involved in personal training, I participated in a skit with my fellow trainers. It was so awesome. We tried to recreate an 80s Fitness Competition!

I really love my coworkers!

Unfortunately, Pete had to miss the party because we discovered our water heater was leaking and he had to wait for a plumber! It was leaking into our garage and then, much to my chagrin, we discovered it was also leaking into our master closet! AGH!

This is how we do January..

And this is how we blog when we are so terribly behind and we can barely remember it!

Despite the snow at the beginning of the month, we actually had quite a bit of sunshine... which we love.

We were pretty good about doing yoga on Sunday nights for like a whole three weeks or something!

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day Mom took us out to lunch. Of course many photos happened. I mean look at Sam! He loves the camera!

Okay now he doesn't love the camera. Mostly because Mom is laughing at him instead of letting him outside which is what he really wants. REALLY REALLY WANTS. Don't prop a door open, don't let him HEAR you open the door, don't say outside unless you are going. Otherwise he is in hysterics.

Mom braided all of our hair! Including her own!

See more sunshine! Iva got her helmet on herself and found shoes so that she could go on a bike ride.

Gosh we love her.

Sam really loves climbing up into the clubhouse.

OH and I think this picture was from Grandpa. He has kept up the hiking with us although his shoulder is healing quickly.

Joseph...TAKE TWO!

The coolest thing happened to us. We got the opportunity to be in Joseph again!!! We had two more showings in January for the Utah Drama Association or something. It was for high school drama teachers and students. The performances were closed to the public, but it meant we got to re live the play for one more week. It was so fantastic.

Oh and Dad ran ANOTHER half marathon...just like it was no big deal. He's our hero

A lot of selfies

Sometimes the only thing that will calm or distract Sam is for Mom to pull out the front facing camera and make silly faces with him. She also tends to take a lot of pictures of herself enjoying sleeping babies.

And she had to show just how messy Sam gets in the car. (Yes...he rides in a pink carseat!)

This actually spells trouble for Mom (since we don't love letting Iva nap), but they look so similar. They always seem to fall asleep the same way!

A Viking Wedding!

My cousin, Jocelyn, is an elven spirit. She also loves all things Viking and loves to read about our Viking heritage. She met her perfect match in Cam and they pulled off a beautiful and fun Viking/Elvish wedding!

I went up with just my sisters. Nobody brought kids. It was such a fun up and back and adventure.

They got married in a church in Spring City, Utah that was built by Danish boat builders. It was so cool!

Snow Time!!!

At least once a year we get snow in St. George. Some years it's a lot. Some years it's not. Most years it's gone quickly. This was kind of an in between year. It was enough and it stuck around for a day.

It wasn't Sam's first experience with snow, but it was his first time being on his own two feet for it.

Mom discovered that she really doesn't like playing in snow. It's her "fun mom kryptonite", but luckily Aunt Angie came and played with us!

We didn't manage to get any pictures of us big girls and the snow this year!

Iva is a Sunbeam

January. Oh January. You were almost three months ago now, but we will once again be backdating this blog entry!

New Year's Day was a Sunday this year which meant our little Iva got to ring in the New Year by becoming a Sunbeam at church! She got to go to Primary with us.

She did great. She loves it. She's a super singer!
