The Aftermath and the weekend and Stuff...

So when you came back from a trip at 3 in the morning this is what happens at your house...

Of course Cara and I had to go to school, but this is what everyone else was doing while we were there.

We all eventually caught up on sleep and it was the weekend already! We got to celebrate our twin cousins, Colt and Carter's, third birthdays by playing at the park and eating cake. There sure are a lot of us when we get together and try and play.

What double chin?

Mom laid Iva down and she didn't move. She was so tired...

On Saturday, I got to attend my friend, Alli's, baptism and as a bonus, she is my mom's best friend from high school's niece. (Please ignore the grammar...) They both had babies close to each other and they finally got together. Ginae lives just up the road in Cedar, but it's winter and Mom never goes north.

The next photos are for posterity. WAY back in December, Mom and Dad let me try babysitting Iva and Cara for the first time while they went to dinner. There are several old iPhones around the house that are able to do texting through iMessage. They felt confident and were literally going five minutes away. These were the text Mom received...

Mom spared you the horror of seeing the photo that was accompanied by the "That's poop" text. It was gross but oh so funny. They haven't left me in charge of Iva again and that's just fine with me. Mom and Dad like to send pictures now of Sam's diapers especially if it is a blow out and say "That's poop."

Good times.

The Final Day

We stayed at Grandpa Quaife's one last night so that we could spend the majority of Wednesday (March 2) at the Happiest Place on Earth.

We tried to be the first people at the gate but that is impossible when the earliest you can get into the parking lot is half an hour before the first park opens. You have to be staying at a hotel across the street. That's okay. We still had a pretty good spot in line although Iva took to entertaining herself by balancing our soda bottles.

She insisted on wearing her Elsa jammies which looked pretty cute.

Sam probably wasn't as big of a fan of Dumbo as Mom and Iva!

We rode Splash Mountain while they did that.

Then we met Merida while Iva met Alice.

We all got to meet Bert and Mary Poppins!

Right before we headed into Pixie Hollow and met Tink and Fawn (again for Iva!)

Fawn remembered Iva and Sam! She was happy to see Sam was smiling this time!

Another meeting of Ariel!!

This time Iva actually agreed to be in the picture with Chewy! She wouldn't hug him, but she did give him a high five and claimed "Chewy is bery nice."

We happened to meet a lot of characters on this last day!

Iva was starting to get daring in her stroller and tried to get us to let her stand while we pushed. Mom said no.

Our last ride on Hyperspace! We forgot to cry as is customary...
It was a delightful vacation. We enjoyed our time at Disney and we hope we can go back sooner rather than later! Maybe when Sam can ride more rides!

More and more fun...

We said good bye to our hotel on Tuesday, but it was our Magic Morning day in Disney so we were still very excited.

We enjoyed our time on Main Street again. This time we took silly pictures with our favorite posters.

I think Mom took this photo because she really appreciates how well we get along. We were just pleasantly playing games together while waiting to be let all the way into Disneyland.

Winnie the Pooh and Tigger were just wandering around so we got to give them big hugs.

And then we waited in line to see them again!

Iva also got to meet Woody!

Due to the massive construction efforts for Star Wars Land, the Disneyland Railroad is closed, but we ran up the steps at the Main Street Station and got to take a peek in the infamous Lilly Belle train car that was named after Walt Disney's wife.

We learned how to draw Baymax. Iva's looks particularly impressive while Daddy needs work.

The Golden Zephyr is one of the best rides. It's a bummer Sam can't do it until he can sit!

Sam was an absolute Champ on this day. He was hardly fussy. He ate and slept and played and was just happy. It was great because we didn't have a hotel to run to!

RUSSELL! We love playing in the Redwood Creek area!

We have edited this one numerous times, but it won't flip upside down on blogger!

We hopped back over to Disneyland for the end of the day because Mom happened to catch some of the fireworks the night before and it was AMAZING. So worth it and so she decided to make sure we saw it on our final full day at Disneyland. Unfortunately this is what happens when you have a toddler and a baby. Mom and Dad end up holding sleeping children in line for Peter Pan. Iva perked up eventually.

Pirates of the Caribbean just before the fireworks. Iva hates fireworks unfortunately and she wasn't that fond of Pirates either. She was pretty brave though and actually called them silly pirates.

No photos or videos of the fireworks show, but that's because video can't do it justice. It was truly incredible. They put projections on the buildings in Main Street and it's just a full blown show. It was the perfect "kiss goodnight" which is exactly what Walt Disney called it.
