Spring Break Part 2

On a whim that involved a big scare from Double Grandma, Mommy decided to take us for a girls trip to SLC! Double Grandma had a heart attack the week before and so Mommy thought it was necessary to pop in and check on her up in Midway. (There was still SNOW on the ground in places up those Wasatch Moutains!)

Of course we stayed with Aunt Rachel and had to play at the zoo. We actually played at the zoo every day we were there which meant three trips. That's a little embarrassing, but we begged!

Our sneaky trip the zoo on Sunday yielded excellent results. This female gorilla was posing with us for pictures!

And then we got to watch the elephant, Christie, PAINT!!!

AND THEN we saw her baby, Zuri, doing tricks. Mom just missed her in a full handstand!

It was a fun trip up to SLC, but we sure missed our Daddy.

Spring Break!!!

So what did WE do on Spring Break besides hit the gym twice a day? Well let's see, Mommy and Daddy kicked off Spring Break by going on a date.

They went BOWLING. How silly are they?

Then daddy went on a boys trip with his buddies and left us girls at home for a few nights. We enjoyed bike riding and playing with Lexi though!

We actually ran through the sprinklers also, but we were less than decent so we won't post pictures! (No swimsuits!)

We were watching Roxie while Grandma and Grandpa were gone and she started out by digging a small hole...

And then she KEPT digging until it was a huge hole.

But we continued on with Spring Break. Iva actually got a bath!

So she could look FABULOUS!

She also practiced sitting!

And we of course went swimming!!

We have been busy

Despite the lack of posting or rather as evidenced by the lack of posting, we have been busy!  Last week was Spring Break from school and instead of having lots of time, Mommy was teaching double classes to cover for Grandma who went to Cancun.

But just before spring break, something wonderful happened!  I finally got to start taking dance classes!  Mommy had us quit gymnastics and signed us up at Summit's new dance studio that's run by Cara's preschool teacher, Miss Traci.

We were so excited!

In other news, we've played with cousins a lot because well they live here! Mom seems to torture our twins though.  They seem to cry an awful lot when she messes with them!

And we apologize, but just a reminder what it's like to have a four month old baby....

Mommy is actually trying a different kind of diaper now, it's a hybrid between cloth and disposable.  We think it makes Iva look like a sumo wrestler though.

She's VERY healthy!

Iva is four months old today. It's crazy. She fits right in. We love her! She already had her four month appt with Dr. Clark and got her shots.

She's just over 15 lbs which puts her in the 88th percentile. And she's 24.5" tall which is surprisingly in the 70th percentile. She's much more like me as a baby than Cara. Cara was little bitty thing. Her head is more average in the 78th percentile than Cara's 90th though!

Her thighs are huge and so squeezable and so are the rolls in her arms. I think this picture actually doesn't do it justice! She's so chubby. And kissable.

Fun things that Iva is doing now:

-She's become very vocal! She makes this "keewoo" sound all the time and starts to yell. Love it.
-Mostly giggles only for Mommy but has started laughing out loud at her being silly. She does love to watch Cara and me as we prance around.
-She has rolled from front to back just once, but seems really capable especially because she spins 360 degrees as she plays on her mat.
-She reaches for toys and loves to put stuff in her mouth. She's not very good at actually grabbing the toy but she's getting there.

Final Two Days

We finished of our trip with two more days at the park. Tuesday was the only day that we actually started in California Adventure. It was fantastic! And sunny and warm. And once again I shocked Mommy by begging to go on Tower of Terror.  I also LOVED Goofy's Sky School which I was able to go on for the first time (yay 42 inches tall!).  That also meant that I got to ride Grizzly River Run this time. Luckily it was warm so that mom and dad actually fought over who got to take me on the wet ride. They both did.

We also took the time to actually go to the Animation Academy and learn how to draw Olaf. If you need comfy seats and 20 minutes to just enjoy in a beautiful, large room. You gotta do it. The animator was also REALLY funny. (Mom and Iva had to bail after 5 minutes, but we enjoyed it!)

Iva went as Sleeping Beauty on Tuesday.

(Sadly that bow did not make it home. We lost in the park twice on Wednesday and only recovered it once.)

We really enjoyed being together as a family. Sitting on Mickey's Fun Wheel in the sun and then bouncing between rides was awesome.  Mom and Dad even snuck in a ride on California Screamin'. One at a time of course!

I shocked Mom again by not just asking once, but TWICE to go on the Matterhorn.  Turns out the second time was a lot scarier because it was dark and the Abominal Snowman was actually working!

Wednesday couldn't be a full day in the park because we had to drive back to St. George, but our dad is quite the stud and was able to stay awake until almost 2 in the morning. Mommy didn't make it half that!  We said good bye to Grandma and Grandpa Great in the morning and gave Grandpa an early birthday present.

We really love being there when the park opens.  Wednesday was by far the quietest day.

The highlights from this trip were amazing based on all three of my girls.  Siena just knocked me off my feet with her enthusiasm for all the roller coasters.  What a difference a year made for her.  Cara was incredibly patient for being four years old.  Her baby sister made it difficult to do many rides while big sister and the other parent were off doing a big ride.  She was so good at waiting and just looking around at things.  Iva of course could not have been better.  She cried when appropriate (I mean she is a baby!) and was easy to console.  She slept great.  I really enjoyed being together as a family for over 100 hours straight.  It was so pleasant.  Can't wait to go back and I only hope each trip is just like this one!
