Post Thanksgiving Zion

Daddy will be forever grateful to the twins this year.  Normally on the day after Thanksgiving, the Larsens all tromp up Angel's Landing.  This year Mommy had told Daddy that she wanted me to go all the way out on the end with Grandpa.  This caused Daddy to have many nightmares during the last six months!  However because of the twins penchant for meltdowns, Uncle Marty requested we do a smaller hike.  This means it could be TWO YEARS before Daddy has to deal with his nightmares!

We headed over in the late morning and went up a drainage at the bottom of Isaac's Canyon which at the Court of the Patriarchs.  Good times.  We were great hikers and Iva was an obedient newborn!

Thanksgiving 2013

We did Thanksgiving down here in St. George with Grandma and Grandpa.  It was a pretty low key with lots of food being consumed!

After eating we burned off some of the pie by having an epic Kinect battle.  It was pretty fun!

These three Larsen ladies were all pregnant at our reunion in July and now look at their adorable babies!

I'm pretty sure we have as many pictures of Iva as she is HOURS old.  Instagram and Facebook and cell phones and nice cameras have made it so easy to capture absolutely every darn minute of life....

Okay...maybe she mostly does eyes closed, eyes open, and yawning or screaming.....

Big Sisters and Bragging

We love being big sisters.  I help whenever I can.  I love to hold her, try to carry her, if she cries I sing to her.  Cara loves to hold her too, but in smaller doses and she never tries to carry her!

And now Mommy wants to brag about ME for a minute.

Siena has been doing so great in kindergarten.  We recently had our first ever parent teacher conference and as expected Siena's teacher raved about her.  It turns out she is one of the best readers in her class which I am very grateful for.  I love to read and I've been stressing a little about what I would do if I had a non-reader!  Siena also won 2nd place in her Reflections school contest.

The very next week, I got a note from her teacher stating that Siena had earned yet another award!  She was being given the Character Award for Integrity.  Siena was very surprised but so excited when she heard her name.  It was worth going for the quick 5 minutes to just to see her blush.

Two weeks old!

Unbelievably, Iva is TWO WEEKS OLD!

We took her to see Dr. Clark and found out that she already weighs 8 lbs 2 oz!!! She's chunking up quick just like I did!

We can't wait to print this out and put it on Dr. Clark's wall!

Daddy turns 35!!

Unfortunately for our Daddy, his birthday came just one week after little sister was born! This meant that Mommy was a little lack luster in her preparations.  Luckily, Grandma helped out and we had yummy cake and presents!

We did make it out to Pizza Factory as a family and Mommy was brave enough to actually ask for one of the number pizzas.  We had never done that before!

Our Daddy is incredible.  He works very hard each day and is always willing to read stories and cuddle.  Mommy says that she was been able to handle our new sister mostly because Daddy is so helpful and hands on.  We are lucky to be his!
